Many people, especially those who are employed in the pharmaceutical industry, are concerned that the new healthcare reform will cause major problems. There are worries that because of the pro-generic drug stance of the reform, there will be a significant decrease in revenues for the pharmaceutical manufacturers. Luckily, this is not the whole picture.
Though there may be a short term dip in revenue, this will only be a temporary thing. In fact, it is projected that by 2015 there will be so many more people that have health insurance that the healthcare industry will be in a better position than it is now. People will be able to afford the prescriptions that they need, due to being on health insurance, and the pharmaceutical manufacturers will be able to quickly make up what they may have lost.
The pharmaceutical manufacturing companies have nothing to worry about with the healthcare reform. Though there may be short term concerns, there will most likely be long term benefits for everyone with this. Not only will the healthcare industry do better, everyone will. The majority of people in the country will be able to seek healthcare when they need to, rather than have to wait until it is too late. Pharmaceutical companies will benefit from the revenue that they are able to get from this as well. As with all political things, there are people who are concerned that there will be a large negative fallout from the healthcare reform. Though this is a possibility, the projections show that this is not likely.
